    Introducing the Osprey Poco Child Carrier Series

    We’re very excited about our upcoming launch of Osprey's new child carriers, the Poco Series, which is set to be released in Australia in March 2012, so we'd like to give you a sneak peek! 

    The Poco Child Carrier Series channels everything Osprey knows about packs into a line of baby carriers that are comfortable, supportive, light, well ventilated, and supremely easy to adjust for fit. Thoughtfully designed to ensure the safety and comfort of their precious cargo, the fully-featured Pocos are baby backpacks done right!

    * The soft, ventilated child carrier seat adjusts up and down for optimal fit and balance.
    * A padded, ventilated restraint harness adjusts easily to hold child securely.
    * The drool pad is easily removable and washable.
    * Adjustable stirrups make for a more comfortable ride.
    * There is a hydration sleeve behind backpanel.
    * Two padded grab handles make for balanced lifting.
    * The frame is strong and reliable being made from powdercoated aluminium with injection molded hinges

    VENTILATION

    The trampoline tensioned mesh backpanel will fit anyone’s contours and maintains airflow for excellent ventilation. Soft, supportive shoulder straps have strategically-placed ventilating holes and breathable spacer mesh contact surfaces. So if you're going to use the Poco as a hiking child carrier, you'll be as cool and comfortable as can be.

    TORSO LENGTH ADJUSTMENT

    “One size fits all” is probably something you never thought you’d hear from Osprey, but in this case, it’s a necessary requirement for the product (and an excellent design challenge). The pack has to fit both parents, and it needs to adjust very quickly to accommodate either.

    Release the cam buckle in the center of the backpanel and the ventilated shoulder straps are free to glide up and down over a 15cm adjustment range. The screenprinted scale makes it quick to position accurately. Lock the buckle down and the yoke is fixed securely. It’s the fastest, easiest adjustment system out there.

    FIT-ON-THE-FLY™ HIPBELT

    The fit of the hipbelt is critical to comfortable carry. Remember, kid carriers are often freighting loads that exceed typical backpacking weights. Our design allows the belt to be adjusted while wearing, with pads able to extend 7.5cm on each side. Simply separate the overlay pad and pull it forward. Press down on the hook and loop fastener to fix the pad in place. This Osprey exclusive design ensures excellent fit and load transfer.
